The Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Berlinetta with "Superleggera" coachwork by the Carozzeria Touring of Milan, Italy, epitomizes the height of style and sophistication in pre-war European Automobiles. Truly the supercar of its day, the Alfa features an 8 cylinder supercharged engine, a rear mounted transaxle, 4 wheel independent suspension and enormous hydraulic drum brakes. Imported to the U.S. after the war, the car was the winner of the first Watkins Glen Grand Prix in 1948.
